I'll Slip one more in the Boogie Trunk for you. This is a Seriously DOPE tune from the One and Only Leon Haywood, the track is Titled "I'm Out to Catch" released in 1983 on 12" on CASABLANCA records. The Track was also Released on his Amazing 1983 record "It's Me Again" Scope that one out. Again, Amazing Vibe on this Track, the Production is filled with some great Boogie-Synth Hooks and Great Vocals are provided by Karen Roberts. This Track is Sure to put you in the New years Vibe. O.k so it's been a while since I posted due to all that Xmas jazz.. But I thought Id flick a tasty joint your way for the Holidays. This Track is By Candela and is called "Love You Madly" which was released on 12" in 1982 on ARISTA records. This tune has Kind of a Cajun Boogie Vibe to it.. well that's one way to describe it. Tune starts off with some Heavy ass Pressure Bass then continues to roll until it Drops into the Classic Boogie Vocal Chorus. I'm sure you will all appreciate this track its definitely a classic Piece of Boogie Pressure! SALUTE.

Somebody Tell me What To Do...


Here is a Seriously DOPE tune from Crown Heights Affair. The track is called "Somebody Tell Me What To Do" released on DE-LITE records in 1982 in 12". This track was also released on their 82 record called "Think Positive!" which is a Great record from them. This track has an amazing! vocal melody one of those ones you just keep on humming. Bassline Horns and sax are also exceptional. This is a great track to ride out too on those long hot summer nights. Boogie DOWN to this classic!


Fantasy...


Time for some Sunday Afternoon PRESSURE. This one has been on HEAVY rotation in the last week or so.. its By T.S Monk who is the Son of Jazz Legend Thelonious Monk. The track is Called "Fantasy" and was the first track on the 1982 Record "Human" released on MIRAGE records. Now when i first heard this track I knew there was something Familiar about it.. and that's because it was Written by the Master Leroy Burgess. This track has a great keyboard intro and great groovy vibe on it, the vocals are also Sensational!. Check this one out its one of those Great Hidden Gems. Enjoy!.

Silver,Platinum & Gold..


Actually.. I'll Finish on this one By Silver, Platinum & Gold just titled "SPG Theme" Which Featured on their 1981 "Hollywood" Released on FARR records. SP&G had another Great joint called "I Got A Thing" off their 76 Record "Silver Platinum & Gold" but its more on the Disco Tip. This jam is filled with great driving up tempo rhythm throughout making it one FIYAH jam. Get down and Boogie Out to this RARE ass Gem. SALUTE.


Serious..


I'll Finish up with another Classic Pressure Joint. This One Is By Serious Intention and is called "Serious" Funnily enough. This Track was released in 1986 on POW WOW Records on 12". This tune has another very Tuff Bassline Driving the song and great melodies to match. Came Across this one on a Master Cuts Comp. Just another Fantastic piece of 80's Gold. to vibe too. Fill your ears with Expensive Taste. Enjoy!


Call Me...


Next One is By the Powerhouse that was Skyy. The tune is titled "Call Me" and was originally Released on 12" in 1981 on SALSOUL Records. Skyy were an amazing Disco/ boogie outfit that had a number of hits.. "First Time Around" "Here's To You" both being favorites of mine. Call me is HEAVY on the Pressure vibe and is a great uptempo number Produced and Written by the Great Randy Muller. Get your Groove on to this one its a classic! SALUTE.


West Coast PopLock....


I'll stick on the classics Tip this arvo and roll out this one By Ronnie Hudson & The Street People.. The track is called "West Coast Poplock" and was released in 1982 on BIRDIE records. This Track is the basis of what was too come in the early 90's with G-Funk rap. The bass on this track is the whole vibe just bouncing along from start to finish. Along with the Infectious Vocal im sure you will know how much its been sampled anyway its one Classic West Coast Track. Definitely one to ride out too on a Summer Day. DIG.


Put Your Body In It...


Its been a while Fam.. well Feels Like a while prolly only a week or so.. So Im going to get back into with a classic Jam that My old man used to roll out. It's By Stephanie Mills and its called "Put Your Body In It" and was originally released in 1979 on 20th CENTURY FOX Records on 12" and was the B-side to "What Cha Gonna Do With My Lovin''. This track has one Heavy heavy Vibe, One of the best Intro's of all time! and just rolls on throughout the track.. the layers on this are on point!. One Classic Paradise Garage Track that Im sure Most of you would of heard but I had to share. Enjoy!

L.A Night...


Ill finish on one RARE ass tune by Yasuko Agawa Called "L.A Night" released in 1986 on BLUEBIRD records on 12". This track was also Featured on her 1984 release "Gravy". This is one Layback Track from the get go.. Great bassline, silky ass vocals and great melody make this one Classic late night track. Layback and Groove to this one. WOW.


So Fine.. Blow My Mind..


Can't Believe I hadn't posted this track Earlier this is an Absolute! boogie Classic From one Howard Johnson and the Jam is called "So Fine" Released on his classic 1982 Record "Keepin' Love New" on A&M records. So Fine is just one of those jams that has amazing production and Arrangement which is the handy work or one KASHIF I guess that's why its so good. Im sure all the HEADZ will of heard this one along their travels, this tune still going strong over 20 years later.. Gotta love it! Enjoy.


Checking You Out...


Lets keep it going.. Next one is another one of my all time favorite grooves by Young & Company Called "Checking You Out" which was released on their 1980 record "I Like What You're Doing To Me!" on BRUNSIWCK records. Now I posted another track with same title but this is Totally Different. This is a Very layback tune which has some great vocals in it making it easy to Groove too. This song can easily get stuck in your head for days! Enjoy this Gem!


Murphy's Law..


Next Track is By Cheri and is called "Murphy's Law" which was released in 1982 First on 6.AM Records and then released on a few other labels (Polydor Venture etc.). I think this is a track you are either going to Hate or going to love.. the reason being is that this track has a high pitched vocal in the chorus which can Shit some people up the wall. I personally think this is a Great track both well produced and Written. The vocals are exceptional and this was by far Cheri's Biggest hit. Groove on this one! Enjoy!


Tell Me (How It Feels)


Afternoon all. Time to get back into some Fine tunes, Felt Like I haven't posted in a while.. This Next one is By 52nd Street and is called "Tell Me (How it Feels)" released in 1985 on both 7" and 12" on TEN records. Produced my Nick Martinelli This track is quite slow, but still manages to bring the vibes. This track grew on me Heaps.. took me alteast 10 listens before I just started to ride out to it. The Chorus just became stuck in my head and couldn't stop humming it. Another fine Piece of 80's Pressure I hope you take the time and Dig up on this one. SALUTE.

Am I Gonna Be the One..


Ill finish with this Pressure tune from Colors titled "Am I Gonna Be the One" Released in 1983 on FIRST TAKE records on 12". Colors released 3 other tracks other than this one in the early 80's but again this one has to be the best. From the get go this tune is Laced with Heavy Synth bass great vocals and great use of a Muted guitar. Full of great 80's hooks this one has a massive break & well produced chorus Another classic Shep Pettibone Mix. Time to Boogie down to this one. Enjoy!


Keep In Touch (Body To Body)


Keep it Flowin' with this next one.. Its By Shades of Love and is called "Keep In Touch (Body to Body)" Released in 1982 on VENTURE records on 12" and produced by One Patrick Adams (Weekend Phreek). This track has a serious Groove Driving it and is voiced by one Meli'sa Morgan. Just one classic jam I will never grow tired of. Hope you all enjoy the good vibes this track has to offer! Enjoy!

Here's a Crazy P-Funked out groove from General Caine, Called "Don't Stop" Released in 1982 on TABU records. This track is from the Album Titled "Girls". Very heavy on the P-Funk vibe, this track will keep you grooving over and over. General Caine Featured members of Parliament, Parlet, The Horny Horns, and The Brides Of Funkenstein. There's Your answer for why this is such a SOLID tune. Get Down to this one is REAL funk 4 your ears. SALUTE.

Keep it rolling for all the BOOGIE Headz out there with this next one.. This track is some REAL 80's Pressure. Its by Newcleus and is called "Jam On it" released in 1984 on SUNNYVIEW records on 12". This track comes straight outta Brooklyn and is HEAVY on the Electro 80's vibe. This tune has featured heavily on many hip-hop mix tapes and has become one sure fire Anthem for dj's. Defintely one for all the Boppers out there. Been diggin on this one for a while. its HEAT. Enjoy!


Midas Touch..


Here is another DOPE tune by Midnight Star and the Track is Called "Midas Touch" released in 1986 on 12" on SOLAR records. Midnight Star were pretty big in the 80's and a string of successful hits and albums. This track is Just pure class the production, vocals, everything just works together to create a SOLID track...Very TUFF TUFF Tune. SALUTE the 80's for so many good vibes, fantastic tracks and videos like this.. what an Era! Hope you enjoy this one.

Afternoon all.. Time for some more PRESSURE. This Next track is By "Weeks & Company" which is the brainchild of one Richie Weeks. The Track is Called "Go With The Flow" and was released in 1982 on PRELUDE records. Richie Weeks Worked under a few other Alias's etc The Jammers and this guy knew how to rock a dance floor. Go with the Flow is a fantastic jam with an amazing groove bassline! and solid Horns Throughout.. Check this one its Very Tasty! Enjoy!

Baby Be Mine...


O.k Ill finish on one RARE ass boogie tune. This Track is By Eddie "Ski" White and is called "Baby Be Mine" Released in 1985 on SMOKIN' Records on 12". This was the Only track he released and its a solid Effort. The tune Cruises along Nicely with a great guitar and Bassline. Another Well Produced Boogie tune Drums especially. Hope you Dig on it! What Would You Do Without Music...


A couple more for ya.. Here is a CRAZY boogie Joint from the MASTER James "D-TRAIN" Williams. The Track Is Called "Music" and was Featured on his 2nd Record Released in 1983 on JUPITER records. The 12" was released on the Mighty Fine Label PRELUDE and RAMS HORN Records in the same year. D-Train was a Collaboration featuring James Williams (vocals) and Hubert Eaves III (keyboards, bass, drums and arrangements) and Features an Amazing mix from one Francois K, This Track would still rock any dance floor to this day. The sound of this Track is so Tight alot of sounds happening on this track and the Synth hooks are SERIOUS PRESSURE. I'm sure you would of all heard this one Before. Its one Classic Joint! TURN IT UP!


Fall in Love...


WOW Forgot about this crazy Pressure Joint.. Shouts to my man Dam-Funk for hookin me up on this one. Its by Second Image and is called "Fall In Love" released in 1982 on POLYDOR records. Second Image were a British Group that released a number of tunes in the early 80's. Fall In love has an amazing vibe due to the bass that just rides out throughout the song.. The vocals are also nice and fluffy and sit high up in the mix. This is one DOPE tune to Cruize too. Enjoy!


Build A Fire...


Morning.. Here's a track by the powerhouse that was Linda Clifford. This is probably one of her lesser known tracks, but it has to be one of my all time favorites by her. The Track is Called "Build a Fire" and was featured on her 1982 record "I'll Keep on Loving You" on CAPITOL records. This has to be the best track of the album. Linda Clifford always had amazingly produced records and songs and this one doesn't Disappoint. The Record was produced by Leo Graham & Michael Gore and is filled with an amazing tight bass and Great backing vocals toward the end which sound like the great Luther Vandross.. not sure if it is tho.. Anyway another SOLID pressure tune. SALUTE.

Hot Summer Nights..


Here's another Slammin! Boogie Track. Its By Love Club and is called "Hot Summer Nights" Released in 1983 on WEST-END Records on 12". Now this was the only tune they Released and what a Mighty fine Track it was. Total Up beat Boogie Pressure tune that still to this day sounds Fresh! due to the amazing Production on it by Jay Dixon. The beat on this Jam is absolutely CRAZY and Light vocals blend in Nicely. One for all the REAL cats out there! RIDE OUT to this one!


Saturday Love...


Just Relaxing on this Thursday arvo pretty hot in Melbourne Town.. Catching up on Posts. This Next one is by Cherrelle and Features Alexander O'neal its called "Saturday Love" Released in 1985 on TABU Records produced by the Fine Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. The B-side to this Track Was also some heat "I Didn't Mean to Turn you on" Very Prince sounding. Saturday love is a very smooth Pressure tune Cherrelle and O'Neals Vocals Work Beautifully together.. Production is amazing track has been sampled by various House acts. This one will Definitely Grow on you PLUS you get the Dope Live Video for it.. DIG!


Your Love is.. Cyanide to ma Babay!


Another one of My TOP SHELF Boogie tunes has to be Carol Shinnette's "Cyanide Love" Released on ZILCO records on 7" in 1984. This Track Features the Concrete band and is Heavy on the Synth PRESSURE. Carol Shinnette Released a Number of Tunes in the Early 80's but this one has to be My Favorite. The vocals are Pretty amazing very high pitched tone to them which just adds to the great Vibe of the Track. One for all the HEADZ out there. Enjoy!


Girl, You Are The One..


O.k Next up is a Track by a Cat that has an UNCANNY resemblance to Michael Jackson.. Both in the way he looked and the sound of his voice. The Track is Called "Girl, You Are the One" Released on JOE-WES Records in 1982 on 12". This track sounds alot like MJ's "Baby Be Mine" released on Thriller. Its a great track Track none the less, Heavy on the PRESSURE Bass Great Production. He also Had a Great Track called "Action Speaks Louder than Words" from his Only LP. Anyway, Ride out to this one its a Solid piece of Boogie Pressure.. Enjoy!


I'll Do Anything For You....


Its been a while since ive posted been busy with work and other stuff but ive dedicated alot of today to catching up! Here's a track by Denroy Morgan called "I'll Do Anything For You" Released on BECKET Records in 1981. This is a Solid Track Filled with an amazing Vocal Line when it drops. Song takes a while to get into it but when it does you'll know about it.. Also has a very annoying Scratching part at the end! you'll know what Im talking about! It's Still a Great late night Tune.
