Well its Sunday Arvo again, just kicking back listening to records. This Next Track is By Aurra and is called "Checking You Out" Released on 12" in 1982 on SALSOUL Records. Aurra were another Boogie/ Funk Machine that released alot of Solid Joints. I highly Recommend you check out Their Back Catalogue. Checking you out is a classic Pressure tune mixed by Shep Pettibone.. Takes a while to get cooking but man this tune just Rides out! Great Summer vibes on this one! Enjoy!

This Time...

Ill finish it off with a Big 80's Pressure tune from Funk Deluxe. The track is called "This Time" released in 1984 on SALSOUL records on 12" as a MAXI. The B-side is the Dub version of the track which is also very good. The reason this Track is a classic is Probably because it was Produced by the Great Randy Muller (Brass Construction, Skyy). The Boogie Sound from the Early 80's hasn't lost the vibe after all these years on this Joint. Ive been diggin on this one for a While hope you guys Ride out to this one. SALUTE!

Do You Like it...

Seeings as Im in the Vibe Ill post one of my all time Favorite Disco Joints. Its By Tempest Trio and its called "Do You Like the Way That It Feels" Which was released as the B-side to Love machine in 1979 on MARLIN Records. This is a special track for time it was made, It just has all the quality's I look for in a disco tune a solid Bassline and amazing Melody. Im sure most of the Disco HEADZ would of heard this one. It Needs to be pitched up a little to the original if your playing it out tends to drag.. Im sure you'll ride to this.. it's one Thumping Disco tune. Enjoy!

Im in a bit of a disco mood today So Ill Post up a Solid Jam that will make you Move and Groove. The Track is called "Body Music" by One on One Released in 1981 on BONUS records on 12". This Track is very well produced just banging it on the Bass and Drums.. BIG BIG Dancefloor Number, still rocking it to this Day. Check this one out its a Rare Gem. Enjoy!

Fall Down (Spirit of Love)

I'll Keep it flowin on this Saturday with the Dancefloor Classics!. Next Track is By Tramaine and is Called "Fall Down(Spirit of Love)" which was Released in 1985 on A&M Records. This 12" had the Fantastic 8 minute Vocal Version which is just INSANE! BOOGIE PRESSURE. The Breakdown on this track is HEAT just riding with the bass and insane drum track. The Band Derived its Name from the lead Singer Tramaine Hawkins they had a few other joints, but Im sure this was their Biggest Hit. Check this one out you wont be dissapointed! PRESSURE.

Dreamin'

Here is another TOP Shelf tune from Steve Arrington and SLAVE. The track is Called "Dreamin" and is from Their 1980 Record "Stone Jam" on COTILLION Records. This is an Amazing Groove Track filled with Tight ass Bass with a bit of phase silky smooth keys in the back, Tight Drums and Great Vocals. The Vibe that SLAVE produced on their music was amazing.. You know its Slave as soon as you hear it a bit like Change. Anyway, Groove out to this one and SALUTE the Whole SLAVE organization. ENJOY!

It's All Yours...

Morning.. Thought id Kick my Saturday off to a bang and share another one of my favorite Boogie Tunes. This one is By the Mighty "Starpoint" and the track is Called "Its All Yours" Released in 1984 on 12" on ELEKTRA Records. The Track also appeared on Their full Length "Its All Yours". Starpoint where A Boogie Funk Powerhouse in the 80's Releasing Several High Quality tunes but this is by far my fav. This track has an amazing Vocal line at the start which basically sets the mood for the whole song. Its a HEAVY HEAVY dancefloor number. Classic 80's PRESSURE on this track. Check it out!

Shake Em' Up..

Here is another one of my favorite Uptempo Boogie Jams. Funnily Enough this one is Titled "Shake Em' Up" as opposed to my last post called "Wrap it up" just coincidence. "Shake Em' Up was released by Higher Ground on 12" in 1981 on ENJOY records. Just another crazy tune with insane Bass and Great Vocals that will stick in your head for days. Can;t help but BOOGIE out to this one REAL PRESSURE tune. DIG!

Time to Post some More KLASSICS thought i'd better catch up.. havn't Posted in a while. This Track is a Definite PRESSURE joint. It's By Touche and its called "Wrap It up" Released in 1982 on EMERGENCY records. This tune has one of the Toughest! basslines going round, you just can't help but strut around to this one. This one is a HEAVY dancefloor number. Boogie Down to this 1!!. Enjoy!

I Love You More..

Here's another Classic from one of my all time Favorite Records by Rene & Angela. The Track im going to Share with you is "I Love Your More" from Wall to Wall Released in 1981 on CAPITOL records. This Record had so many Stand out tracks "Wall to Wall" "Secret Rendezvous" "Imaginary Playmates" but I just had to share this track with you. If your into Soul/Disco/Boogie this record is a MUST have. The production is amazing the use of strings and keys is flawless. This track was sampled Heavily by Notorious on his track "I Love the Dough". Gives me Shivers every time I hear it, 20 years later this tune still Shatters most music of today. Big PRESSURE tune. SALUTE.

Your move...

Had to jump on and post another one of my favorites by Italo-Disco Group Change. The track is Called "Your Move" from Miracles Released in 1981 on ATLANTIC records among a few others. If you haven't Heard of Change I suggest you get on board. This Group was an absolute Powerhouse when it came to stone cold grooves. Miracles is my favorite record for production value. James Robinson does an exceptional job of vocals as the GOD Luther Vandross was pursuing his Solo career and only appeared doing Backup on Selected tracks. What more is there to say about this track its an absolute PRESSURE tune, if I could sum it up in one word it's Layback. Ride out to this one! ENJOY

I'ts You I love....

Here is a seriously Smooooooth Track from Pamela Nivens. Track is called "It's You I Love (So In Love)" and was released on SUN VALLEY records on 12" in 1983. The Track was Mixed by Bill Simmons, Bret Butterfield SOLID. Now this track takes a bit to get going but when the vocal hook kicks in with the nice backing synth.. thats when you start to ride out!. Dig on this one its a classic! Expensive Taste! Enjoy!

Here is another PROTO-HOUSE BURNER by West Philips. Its called "(I'm Just A) Sucker For A Pretty Face" released on 12" on QUALITY RECORDS OF AMERICA in 1983. This track is an absolute BURNER, Definitely one that needs to be played loud and out at like 5 A.M. It's a Pretty dark joint Just Pounds along from start to finish. GRIND to this 1!!! SALUTE.

W.Q.B.C

Sunday Afternoon is Here again and you know what that's good for.. Rolling out some Serious BOOGIE. This is another one of my Favorite Jams. It's By W.Q.B.C and its called "I'll Be Loving You" which is from their L.P "Wanna' Quit But Can't" its also the B-side to Love Me anyway released on 12" in 1986 on EXPANSION records. This tune has the classic boogie vibe happening Insane Melodies and THUMPING BASS just gets me everytime. Definite Summer Vibes on this one it's one FIYAH jam. DIG up on this one. Enjoy!

Change Your Wicked Ways...

This track is an absolute Dancefloor classic! Strictly one for all the HEADZ out there. Its By Pennye Ford and is Titled "Change Your Wicked Ways" which was released on TOTAL EXPERIENCE Records in 1984 on 12". Again this another Amazing Vocal Tune with Exceptional Melodies in the Chorus. Great Production from Oliver Scott, Check out the Filmclip can't believe someone posted this its Hilarious! this is what its all about 80's PRESSURE. Ride out to this one its an absolute treat!. Don't Go Away...

Next Track is another Proto-House Burner as my mate DJ Booshank Likes to call it. Its By Affinity and is called "Don't Go Away" which was released in 1983 on MANGO records. This tune is a very DEEP boogie Tune, Much to the Sound of the Driving Bass throughout the tune. The Tune was Mixed by Mark Kamins who Discovered Madonna in 1983 which is a pretty decent find if you ask me! The vocal tone is very Intresting and blends with the Music very well. Anyway this is a special Joint, Still rocks the floors to this day! Dig on it HARD.

Garden Of Eve...

Saturday Afternoons are all about Pressure for me.. Just a good time to Crack a beer and listen to some Top Shelf Joints. Next track is By Yvonne Gage and is called "Garden of Eve" Released in 1981 on ATLANTIC records. Yvonne Cage Released a Few 12" and One LP in 1984 called Virginity. This track is a classic Piece of Boogie Groove with an Insane Bass Breakdown in the middle. The Synth Hook in the background is Similar to "Rene & Angelas Classic "I Love You More" .This Tune is A Definite Grower Scope it out you won't be Disappointed. PRESSURE!

Love You Up...

Here's Another Top Shelf Track by the name of "Love You Up" By Trilark from their one and only record Entitled Trilark from 1982 on HANDSHAKE records. This Tune is Pretty Silky and Fonky on the bass! great summer Vibe... they had another Great track called "Check it Out" Which is HEAT but I couldn't Find a video for it. Feel Alright...

Here's Another DOPE Boogie Tune, that I found on a Comp Called "Funky Collector" check it out its hot! The track is By Komiko and its called "Feel Alright" and was released on the Mighty Fine SAM records in 1982. This tune has alot going on in it but it seems to come together nicely alot of Layered Synth sounds and great vocals just another HARD Boogie tune. DIG on this one! Enjoy!

Over Like a Fat Rat....

Here is another Great Track Written by the Genius Leroy Burgess... Most of the HEADZ would know this track that's because its a classic! Its Fonda Rae's "Over Like a Fat Rat" Released on VANGUARD Records on 12" in 1982. This track has been sampled by a heap of Hip-hop Artists that's Because the Bassline is just so Tuff! ie "Eric B is President". The production on this track is also amazing! Vocals Keys everything. Seriously, this is a DOPE tune. Get on Board! SALUTE.

Party Lights...

Morning Y'all.. This tune has been spinnin' round in my head for the last week or so and I thought Id already posted it but no, so here it is! its a track By First Love called "Party Lights" Released on CHYCAGO INTERNATIONAL MUSIC records in the great year of 1982. This tune is again tuff on the bass and boogie vibe. The vocals are infectious.. boogie down to this one, its FIYAH!

Cheba Makes it Sweeter...

Oh yeah! EDDIE CHEBA up in this one, Definitely one for all the DISCO Headz out there, This one is HEAT. Its by Eddie Cheba and is Called "Lookin' Good (Shake Your Body)" Which was released on TREELINE records in 1979, Think this is the only Joint he's Got. It's Alot Earlier from most of the stuff Ive been posting and you will here that in the sound. Eddie's Voclas are almost "Kurtis Blow" Esque with the rapping style. Check this one out at the 7 minute mark its a HEAVY disco Tune. P-P-PRESSURE.

Real Thing...

Keep it rolling with another Tight Boogie tune. This one's By Starbox and is called "Real Thing" Which was Released on 12" In 1983 on BOLSTARR Records. Heavy On the Electro Boogie Vibe this tune takes a while to get cooking but when it does its a SERIOUS PRESSURE tune. The Vocals On this Track are by Sheila and are also Fantastic Pitched up a little. Roll it out with this one, its TIGHT! SALUTE.

Can't Get Enough...

Haven't Posted in a Couple of Days time to get back into it with this FIYAH Joint By Stevie Jackson Titled "Can't Get Enough" Released on WILLIAMS Records in 1986. This Tune has some Tuff Bass and Great Keyboard Sounding Horns. Very Groovy Joint FIlled with great Vocal Melodies Check it out its HEAT. Enjoy!

Now this is another one of My Favorite Boogie joints. I'm sure the HEADZ will know of this one, but I had to post it its a god damn CLASSIC. Its By Advance and its called "Take Me To The Top" First Released on X-ENERGY Records in 1982, It went on to be Released on Various other labels throughout the 80's. This Track it a Definite Grower, creeping up on ya' after each listen. I have to say my Favorite Part of the track is 1 the Chorus and 2 the Middle Break, The Synth Lines are Just amazing the Production for 82 is Crazy. DIG on this one its a TRUE BOOGIE CLASSIC. SALUTE!

Ill Stick with the TUFF boogie Tune vibes.. Next Track is From a Fantastic Compilation I picked up Called BOOGIE TIMES out of France. I Highly Recommend this series if your into this sound. The Track is called "So In Love" and its By RAVEN, Which Was released in 1984 on SILVER CLOUD Records and Features the Amazing vocals of Jocelyn Brown.. Check her out if your not Familiar with her work. This is a Very Solid Boogie Track, Heavy on the PRESSURE. Enjoy!

Time for a seriously DOPE Boogie Joint by the name of "Wanna Love Ya" By Morgan on CLOCKWORK records from 1984. Total Boogie PRESSURE on this one, crazy Synthesizers Tuff Bassline. Not Sure if this Guy released any other tunes, But I can't help but getting my 80's BOOMBOX and Strutting to this one in the Park while Throwing a Frisby. One for the HEADZ. Enjoy

Might aswell Keep it going I'm on a roll.. HA! Here's a Track by "Liquid Love" called "Stretch It" which was released on STARRWAY Records in 1983 on 12". Now this Track is HEAVY and I mean HEAVY on the Synth PRESSURE. I just can't help but rock to this one. Uptempo, Great Break in the middle just everything I seek out in a Boogie tune. Annoy the Neighbors with this one.. Its Worth it! Enjoy!

Now here is a SERIOUS BOOGIE PRESSURE Tune by the name of "Love Rockin' by Terry Burrus and Transe It was release in 1983 on ARISTA. Terry Burrus Is a successful Session Pianist who's played with the Likes of Lenny White, Melba Moore, Tom Browne and Even did some Work with Michael Jackson. Now this is a PURE West-Coast Party tune Similar to the Likes Of Vaughn Mason and Crew. The Bass is Again POP LOCKIN and Just a great Summertime Groove! Boogie DOWN hard to this one. ENJOY!

Lets Keep it Going... Here's Another TIGHT Boogie Joint by the Name of "Do Me" By Mona Raye.. It Was Released on PARK PLACE records in 1981 on 12". She had a couple of other 12's also released in the early 80's. For me, This Track Just Oooooozes Sex its like a Fondu Party, A Very SERIOUS Lay back Groove. Smoke out to this one.. its a Total JAM! SALUTE.

Here's a Rare Boogie Tune by the name of "You Ain't Got No Money" By Jaime Lynn Released on SALSOUL on 12" in 1983. This a Great Up tempo Track Filled with POPPIN basslines, Driving Rhythm and Very Nice Keys. The Production on this track is pretty slick to think its from 83' is amazing. Could be the only Joint they ever Released but WOW it's Still rocking it 20 Years later. This TUne has a SERIOUS Bassline and Great funky guitar. You Will be Diggin on this one for a while its BOOGIE at its Finest. PRESSURE.

Here is a SURE FIRE TUFF Boogie Joint From Engames.. The Track is "Ecstasy" From the debut Record "Building Beauty" From 1983 on VIRGIN Records. This tune is Definitely for all the HEADS out there, its a Non Stop Bouncing Boogie Jam!. The Vibe on this Track is Amazing, (Think the D-Mob Sampled this Joint in the 90's) You don't come across these sort of Joints Everyday. GROOVE HARD to this one! Insane BOOGIE PRESSURE.

Here's Another Great Mid-Tempo Boogie Tune by the name of "I Want To Be With You" By DESI. It was First Released in 1984 on BLUE records on 12" Then a Year Later on CERTAIN Records. Solid Joint From Start to Finish Bopping along quite Nicely Around the 106 BPM Mark. Check it out its a Pretty Rare Joint but its Sure to Fill all your PRESSURE Needs! Dynomite.. Dynomite!

Time to Post Another one of my Favorite Joints.. Its By "Convertion" which was another Alias from the Mighty Mind of Disco Legend Leroy Burgess.. This Track is Titled "Lets Do it" and was released in 1980 on SAM records. This track just blows me away every time I hear it, I still manage to Draw Something out of it that I hadn't Heard Previously. Thumping Along from the Word Go, Leroy's Vocals are Sensational! and the Layering of Instruments on this Track is Classic Burgess. Scope it out This Guy Really had a Sound of His Own. Enjoy!

Here is One Of my Favorite Boogie Tunes... Its The Keith Diamond Band with "All Night Rocker" Which was released on 12" in 1981 on MILLENNIUM Records. This is a SOLID SOLID Joint, another song that I would put in the same Good vibe Category as Starshine's "All I Need Is You". Think They only Released 1 other Single in the same Year called "The Dip" Which I Haven't Checked out. Still Roll this one out on a Regular Basis Most of the HEADS would know this one, its a Classic! SALUTE.

How To Win Your Love..

Ill Keep on the Boogie Tip.. Next one is a Joint By the name of "How To Win Your Love" By Spencer Jones, You Will Notice that Most Boogie Tune Titles Revolve Around LOVE, Don't Know Why just seemed to be the Trend in the 80's. Anyway, It was released on INJECTION DISCO DANCE LABEL records in 1985 aswell as many other Labels (Profile,Champion Etc). Spencer Jones Released a few other Tunes "How High" "Miss Friday" which are Definitely Worth checking out aswell. Just another TOP SHELF boogie tune.. Heavy On the Synth's Just the way we Like it! I Will Never Love This Way...

Here is a TOTAL Boogie PRESSURE Tune From Lee Prentiss.. Its Titled "Love This Way" and was released on 12" on MSB records in 1983. Now this Tune is a Pretty Rare Joint Filled with very TUFF Synthesized Bass Driving the whole song, Lots of "Teardrop" Sounds,its an Absolute classic! She also Released a couple of other tracks but this one is the best. Haven't Stopped rolling this one out for the last week needs to be Played Loud with lots of Bass! PRESSURE.

You Don't Like My Music...

O.k Morning Peeps.. Just Listening to an Old Frankie Knuckles Mix from 87' and The bassline from this Joint just rolled me over, SO I Thought Id Share.. This One is On the Disco Tip, Still a Solid Tune. Its "Hupendi Muziki Wangu? ! (You Don't Like My Music)" By K.I.D (Geoff Bastow) Released on "SAM" Records in 1981 It was the B-Side of "It's Hot" 12". Now this Tune is FIRE, Laced with classic Disco Strings, Bass and Synth Lines. Get Involved in this one, wait till the bass drops around the 2 Minute mark CRAZY PRESSURE. Enjoy!

Get Your Body Up!

Time to Get back into the PRESSURE with this one.. It's a Crazy Boogie Tune by the name of "Get Your Body Up" By Serena was released in 1983 on Wilcur Records, TNT Unlimited Inc (Brooktown Records) on 12". This is a Pretty Rare Joint and I can thank MR Mongo For this one! From the Opening, The Synth Bass is Squelchy, and VERY Boogiesh! Vocals Are Amazing too, High End, Strong No Bullshit.. Hope you Groove to this one Its Serious BOOGIE.

Instrumentals Are Cool Too...

Checking out a tune that I would say is Definitely in the "Dad Genre" Its an Instrumental Tune by a Group Named Congress Called "Neptune" and was released in 1983 both on 12" and 45" on PRT Records, & Tooti Frooti (Nice Name) written by Errol Reid. Its more on the Funkier side of things but this tune is still soaked with poppy Synths lines, Driving Bassline and great Piano solos.. Ive been seriously Diggin' on the track.. It may be a Bit "Faggy" for some but I rekn its a SOLID Joint, Great Label aswell for all the HEADS out there.. Check it out!

I Got Love...On My Mind..

Here's a Layback Boogie tune By the name of "I GOT LOVE" by Rock Candy on PROFILE records from 82 . Think it was the only 12 they released but its silky Smooth.. Kinda Reminds of a Late Night Cop Show! HA The tune is laced with Deep boogie bass and subtle Piano Lines.. Very Cruizy track, Oh, it was mixed by the Legendary TEE SCOTT, One of my Favorites! Anyway Scope it out, its sure not to Disappoint, one for those Hot Summer Nights! RELAX.

O.k Heres a tune for you that's been rotting my mind for quite sometime now.. Its Spaceship Earth's "Midnight Express To Love City" which was released in 1985 on SPACESHIP EARTH records. I don't Know much about these guys or the releases they did.. but this Jam is a BOOGIE CLASSIC and all the real HEADS out there would of heard it already. Filled with one of the catchiest vocal Melodies and Guitar licks its going to send you Up Far far and away at 11 minutes a Total Late night Heaphone Jam.. PRESSURE!

Just a quick one tonight.. Couldn't stop Humming this one all day at work.. Its By Attitude and the track is called "Love Me Tonight" Its from Attitudes one and Only album Called "Pump The Nation" It was Released in 1983 on ATLANTIC, and Produced by David Frank and Mic Murphy of the System. Now this record is pretty special it laced with great production tight basslines and PRESSURE Synths, if you can find this record I highly Recommend it! Time to Get down and Dirty on this one its REAL.

Lets Keep it Rare... Got another Crazy ass BOOGIE JOINT for ya.. Its Junko Ohashi's "Dancing" From His 1983 Record "POINT ZERO" Released on PHILIPS.. Now this record is pretty hard to find and goes for quite a price! but Its definitely Worth the COINAGE! these Japanese KNOW! how to BOOGIE it up.. Dancing is a pretty special Boogie tune. I hope you dig it as much as I do! SALUTE.

Yamashita's In The House...

Daaaaaaaaammmmmnnnn this one is HOT!!!! This is a Jam for all the REAL BOOGIE cats out there.. its Tatsuro Yamashitas "LOVE TALKIN" from his 1982 Record "FOR YOU" released on AIR RECORDS. I dont have enough good things to say about this tune, Everytime I hear it just makes me think of Good Summer Vibes, the Bassline is so lazy and the guitar Solos in it are on POINT. Just Ride out to this one its an absolute CLASSIC!

Somebody's Loving You...

O.k this Next Tune is From one of my Favorite Labels SAM.. Sam records was a disco and garage label, founded in the mid-1970's by Sam Weiss.. Check this label out if your not familiar with it, some SERIOUS PRESSURE was released on it.. The Tune thats been spinning round in my head for last couple of days has been Klassique's "Somebody's Loving you" an Excellent Boogie Groove from 1983.. Just a nice one that grows on you after each listen.. CAN YOU DIG IT?

Its By a Cat Named Cliff Dawson who relased a couple of 12's but Only 1 full length LP Titled "Cliff Dawson" it was released in 1982 on Boardwalk Records.. the whole album is a Gem, but I had to share one Standout track Titled "I Can Love You Better" Scope it out..
