This Time...

Ill finish it off with a Big 80's Pressure tune from Funk Deluxe. The track is called "This Time" released in 1984 on SALSOUL records on 12" as a MAXI. The B-side is the Dub version of the track which is also very good. The reason this Track is a classic is Probably because it was Produced by the Great Randy Muller (Brass Construction, Skyy). The Boogie Sound from the Early 80's hasn't lost the vibe after all these years on this Joint. Ive been diggin on this one for a While hope you guys Ride out to this one. SALUTE!

Seeings as Im in the Vibe Ill post one of my all time Favorite Disco Joints. Its By Tempest Trio and its called "Do You Like the Way That It Feels" Which was released as the B-side to Love machine in 1979 on MARLIN Records. This is a special track for time it was made, It just has all the quality's I look for in a disco tune a solid Bassline and amazing Melody. Im sure most of the Disco HEADZ would of heard this one. It Needs to be pitched up a little to the original if your playing it out tends to drag.. Im sure you'll ride to this.. it's one Thumping Disco tune. Enjoy!

I'll Keep it flowin on this Saturday with the Dancefloor Classics!. Next Track is By Tramaine and is Called "Fall Down(Spirit of Love)" which was Released in 1985 on A&M Records. This 12" had the Fantastic 8 minute Vocal Version which is just INSANE! BOOGIE PRESSURE. The Breakdown on this track is HEAT just riding with the bass and insane drum track. The Band Derived its Name from the lead Singer Tramaine Hawkins they had a few other joints, but Im sure this was their Biggest Hit. Check this one out you wont be dissapointed! PRESSURE.

Here is another TOP Shelf tune from Steve Arrington and SLAVE. The track is Called "Dreamin" and is from Their 1980 Record "Stone Jam" on COTILLION Records. This is an Amazing Groove Track filled with Tight ass Bass with a bit of phase silky smooth keys in the back, Tight Drums and Great Vocals. The Vibe that SLAVE produced on their music was amazing.. This one is By the Mighty "Starpoint" and the track is Called "Its All Yours" Released in 1984 on 12" on ELEKTRA Records. The Track also appeared on Their full Length "Its All Yours". Starpoint where A Boogie Funk Powerhouse in the 80's Releasing Several High Quality tunes but this is by far my fav. This track has an amazing Vocal line at the start which basically sets the mood for the whole song. Its a HEAVY HEAVY dancefloor number. Classic 80's PRESSURE on this track. Check it out!

I Love You More..

Here's another Classic from one of my all time Favorite Records by Rene & Angela. The Track im going to Share with you is "I Love Your More" from Wall to Wall Released in 1981 on CAPITOL records. This Record had so many Stand out tracks "Wall to Wall" "Secret Rendezvous" "Imaginary Playmates" but I just had to share this track with you. If your into Soul/Disco/Boogie this record is a MUST have. The production is amazing the use of strings and keys is flawless. This track was sampled Heavily by Notorious on his track "I Love the Dough". Gives me Shivers every time I hear it, 20 years later this tune still Shatters most music of today. Big PRESSURE tune. Had to jump on and post another one of my favorites by Italo-Disco Group Change. The track is Called "Your Move" from Miracles Released in 1981 on ATLANTIC records among a few others. If you haven't Heard of Change I suggest you get on board. This Group was an absolute Powerhouse when it came to stone cold grooves. Miracles is my favorite record for production value. James Robinson does an exceptional job of vocals as the GOD Luther Vandross was pursuing his Solo career and only appeared doing Backup on Selected tracks. What more is there to say about this track its an absolute PRESSURE tune, if I could sum it up in one word it's Layback. Ride out to this one! ENJOY

Next Track is another Proto-House Burner as my mate DJ Booshank Likes to call it. Its By Affinity and is called "Don't Go Away" which was released in 1983 on MANGO records. This tune is a very DEEP boogie Tune, Much to the Sound of the Driving Bass throughout the tune. The Tune was Mixed by Mark Kamins who Discovered Madonna in 1983 which is a pretty decent find if you ask me! The vocal tone is very Intresting and blends with the Music very well. Anyway this is a special Joint, Still rocks the floors to this day! Dig on it HARD.

This track is a classic Piece of Boogie Groove with an Insane Bass Breakdown in the middle. Here is another Great Track Written by the Genius Leroy Burgess... Most of the HEADZ would know this track that's because its a classic! Oh yeah! EDDIE CHEBA up in this one, Definitely one for all the DISCO Headz out there, This one is HEAT. Its by Eddie Cheba and is Called "Lookin' Good (Shake Your Body)" Which was released on TREELINE records in 1979, Think this is the only Joint he's Got. It's Alot Earlier from most of the stuff Ive been posting and you will here that in the sound. Eddie's Voclas are almost "Kurtis Blow" Esque with the rapping style. Check this one out at the 7 minute mark its a HEAVY disco Tune. P-P-PRESSURE.

Keep it rolling with another Tight Boogie tune. This one's By Starbox and is called "Real Thing" Which was Released on 12" In 1983 on BOLSTARR Records. Heavy On the Electro Boogie Vibe this tune takes a while to get cooking but when it does its a SERIOUS PRESSURE tune. Now this is another one of My Favorite Boogie joints. I'm sure the HEADZ will know of this one, but I had to post it its a god damn CLASSIC. Its By Advance and its called "Take Me To The Top" First Released on X-ENERGY Records in 1982, It went on to be Released on Various other labels throughout the 80's. This Track it a Definite Grower, creeping up on ya' after each listen. I have to say my Favorite Part of the track is 1 the Chorus and 2 the Middle Break, The Synth Lines are Just amazing the Production for 82 is Crazy. DIG on this one its a TRUE BOOGIE CLASSIC. SALUTE!

Here is a TOTAL Boogie PRESSURE Tune From Lee Prentiss.. Its Titled "Love This Way" and was released on 12" on MSB records in 1983. Now this Tune is a Pretty Rare Joint Filled with very TUFF Synthesized Bass Driving the whole song, Lots of "Teardrop" Sounds,its an Absolute classic! She also Released a couple of other tracks but this one is the best. Haven't Stopped rolling this one out for the last week needs to be Played Loud with lots of Bass! PRESSURE.

Get Your Body Up!

Time to Get back into the PRESSURE with this one.. It's a Crazy Boogie Tune by the name of "Get Your Body Up" By Serena was released in 1983 on Wilcur Records, TNT Unlimited Inc (Brooktown Records) on 12". This is a Pretty Rare Joint and I can thank MR Mongo For this one! From the Opening, The Synth Bass is Squelchy, and VERY Boogiesh! Vocals Are Amazing too, High End, Strong No Bullshit.. Hope you Groove to this one Its Serious BOOGIE.
Instrumentals Are Cool Too...

Checking out a tune that I would say is Definitely in the "Dad Genre" Its an Instrumental Tune by a Group Named Congress Called "Neptune" and was released in 1983 both on 12" and 45" on PRT Records, & Tooti Frooti (Nice Name) written by Errol Reid. Its more on the Funkier side of things but this tune is still soaked with poppy Synths lines, Driving Bassline and great Piano solos.. Ive been seriously Diggin' on the track.. It may be a Bit "Faggy" for some but I rekn its a SOLID Joint, Great Label aswell for all the HEADS out there.. Check it out!

Here's a Layback Boogie tune By the name of "I GOT LOVE" by Rock Candy on PROFILE records from 82 . Think it was the only 12 they released but its silky Smooth.. Kinda Reminds of a Late Night Cop Show! HA The tune is laced with Deep boogie bass and subtle Piano Lines.. Very Cruizy track, Oh, it was mixed by the Legendary TEE SCOTT, One of my Favorites! Anyway Scope it out, its sure not to Disappoint, one for those Hot Summer Nights! RELAX.

Its By a Cat Named Cliff Dawson who relased a couple of 12's but Only 1 full length LP Titled "Cliff Dawson" it was released in 1982 on Boardwalk Records.. the whole album is a Gem, but I had to share one Standout track Titled "I Can Love You Better" Scope it out.. His vocals are sensational, Bass and synth Lines in it are PRESSURE. Enjoy!
